FAQs

What should I wear to a Pilates session?

You will want to wear fitness clothing you can stretch and move in. Form fitting clothing can better allow your instructor to give alignment cues, but dress to your comfort level. Bottoms that are a little more form fitting can be helpful for when legs are up in the air, as well as spandex liners under looser shorts.  It is recommended to wear socks with “grips” on them.  This allows you to be connected to the floor and removes the risk of slipping when performing exercises. Please avoid clothing with zippers, as it can damage the equipment.

Where in downtown Sheboygan are you located?

We are located on the second floor of 921 N. 8th Street. Note, there is no elevator access to the studio. The entrance for Pilates Anchored LLC is a glass door between Rudnick Jewelers and WordHaven BookHouse. We share a space with The Sheboygan Collective. Walk up the staircase, and go down the main hallway. You will find the studio second door on the right.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 48-hour cancellation policy for both group classes and one-on-one sessions. Any scheduled appointment must be cancelled more than 48 hours in advance to not be charge for the session. Any appointment cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled session time will result in the student being responsible for full payment. Specialty Workshops that require preregistration are non-refundable, but could be transferred to someone else before the workshop occurs with notice to Pilates Anchored LLC.

This policy is in place to ensure that we can effectively manage scheduling. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation regarding this matter.

What is your inclement weather policy?

We live in Wisconsin, so we get it…sometimes the weather is questionable. If classes are being cancelled for inclement weather students will be alerted when the call is made via the phone number/e-mail on your Square account. If you do not hear from us, that means classes are being held, and our regular 48 hour cancellation policy will stand.

If you do not feel safe traveling for a class that is being held, don’t risk your safety for Pilates. Please just send a message to let us know you will not be attending, and we will send you a video Pilates Mat class as an alternative class to be taken at home within 24 hours of your message. This way you can get in a Pilates workout from the comfort of your own home. You will still be charged for the class if cancelling within the 48 hour window, as your reservation saves a seat for you regardless of you attending class.

How many students are in a class?

The maximum amount of students in a Pilates Reformer class is four.

What level class should I take?

When it comes to group Pilates reformer classes, the level it has less to do with your overall fitness level, and more to do with your experience using a Pilates reformer, and your familiarity with the Pilates Method. On our classes page we have a great description of all four levels of classes that we offer. Please read each description to determine what the best class placement for you may be. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
